Below is the initial practice schedule for the 2016 season:

We are currently holding recreational paddle on Saturdays at 9:00am. This is to introduce new (Novice B) paddlers to the sport as well as welcoming back current members. The pace is easy and time on the water is about one hour.

Starting 24 Feb, practice will be Wednesdays, 5:30pm to sunset for second year and higher paddlers only (no first year paddlers just yet), and Saturdays 8:30am for Nov B (first year paddlers) and 9:00am for everyone else.

Then beginning 7 Mar, practice for all paddlers will be Mon & Wed, 5:30pm to sunset and Saturdays 8:30am for Nov B and 9:00am for everyone else.

Keiki (children) practice will begin at a later date. Continue to monitor the website for updates.

Aloha and Welcome to HPCC Season 2016

We know you have seen the outrigger canoes in Waikiki and thought, “I would like to do that.”  Well now is the perfect time to get into the canoe!

Honolulu Pearl Canoe Club will begin off season paddling starting January  9th, 2016 at Sand Island. Time will be 9:00am each Saturday until regular season practice begins.  This is a great time for new paddlers.  The pace will be easy so minor training and tips can be provided.  Time on the water will be roughly 1 – 1.5 hours.

Please fill out and sign the attached documents.  No one will be allowed in the canoe unless these documents are provided to our club representative.

So, come on out and give it a try!  All are welcomed, military, civilian, men, women.  Children (Keiki) practice will start at a later date not yet determined.  Don’t worry if you don’t have a paddle, the club will provide one for you to use.  We do suggest you bring a towel, water shoes, and something to drink.

HPCC looks forward to seeing all our returning members as well as those new to the sport!

Practice is back on!

Welcome back everyone!  Well the offseason has been a little trying but Honolulu Pearl is back on track.  Our first practice will be 5:30 pm, Wed, March 25th.

As stated earlier, all are welcomed, military, civilian, men, women and children.  Don’t worry if you don’t have a paddle, the club will provide one for you to use.  We do suggest you bring a towel, water shoes, and something to drink.

Please go to the info section and download the 2015 HPCC registration/waiver form and the HCRA waiver form.  No one will be allowed in the canoe until these forms are filled out and signed.

Our new location will be at Sand Island.  I think everyone is going to like the location.  Easier access to open water as training intensifies.  To get to our new location, take Sand Island Access Rd.  After passing over the bridge, make a right turn at the second light.  Our location will be just past the BMX track.  We will be the last club on the left as you enter the parking lot.  I would suggest getting there as early as possible because parking is limited.

Finally, the Board would like to thank everyone for their patience.  We know you’re ready to get back into the water.  We look forward to seeing all our returning members and welcome all our new members.  Aloha and Mahalo!
